When I tell people I forgot how to speak Spanish my wife says, "You can still speak it."

I can't.

I dated a Mexican girl as well as a Puerto-Rican girl and neither could really speak Spanish, but they could still understand it just fine.  Is that how it is for you?

Oh, yeah. I can understand most, I guess. It was my first language but long forgotten now.
I speak back in English to my grandparents and they understand fine too.

Yeah, they would answer their parents and grandparents in English a lot even if they got asked something in Spanish.

On a somewhat unrelated note, Puerto Rican chicks are pretty ****ing crazy.

Oh trust me I know, when we first started dating I mistakenly told someone that she was Mexican and she about kicked my ass.

The Mexican girl wasn't as crazy, but she wasn't as hot either :(

When I used to live in the Ghetto

I sort of had a puerto rican girlfriend when I was -8 years old-,   I had just come to America for 1 year, so my english wasn't that great..

We'd play my computer back then, a pentium 75mhz.. and my super nintendo..

She didn't seem crazy,  so maybe it's a learned thing later on.. when they join a gang.

Like you want the whole library or just the super small Spanish section that is mainly Latin People magazines.
