Switch Tacticlity and Clickiness
« on: Thu, 21 July 2016, 04:11:09 »
So my old Rantopad MXX with Gateron Blue Switches "N" lost its tactile feedback and clickiness. Out of the last 3 group buys with more than 100 people have no complaints whatsoever, im the only one to have this problem. It can still register "N" but it feels weird when pressing it compared to the rest of the board. Any ideas what this could be?

It still actuates?

Maybe the little plastic 'jumping bean' got misaligned or stuck or something. Open 'er up and have a look. I'm guessing you'll need to replace the switch tho.

At first i thought it might be dirt or something. The click was the first thing to go. After a few days the tactile feed back left too. :(

My guess the little legs on the slider prolly broke or are bent..

Buy a switch , solder..

OR, desolder a switch that you'd never use, like scroll lock..  and just swap them...
