Ordered My First Vinyl...

I'm going to send it off to get it signed as soon as I get it. I've always wanted to do that before before Tom Lehrer passes, considering he's 87 now. :O

though you really need a turntable to listen to the vinyl, people usually buy the turntable first >.<

Pfft, first gather the pretty collection then buy the main component to actually listen to said vinyls is my philosophy!  :))

Nah, I just wanted to get this sooner than later to get it signed before I lose the chance. I'll be getting the actual turntable when I can.  :p

I really wish Lehrer was still at UCSC when I was. It might have made my time there something other than awful. Alas, we at least have "math Ph.D. dropout" in common on our cv...

Otherwise, digital > anal og. But, if you've never had a turntable get one. They are fun to play with.

Haha that's awesome. My first turntable was a thigh high wooden monstrosity with a lid that flips up. I think I used it as a table for a year before I decided to buy a new cartridge for it :))

I'm pretty young and broke, and from my quick google search they are pretty expensive, I doubt I could pick it up from you at the moment. :p

Agreed, I had one of these turntables and it did well until the speed controller stopped functioning correctly. Great table though.

If new, Project and U-Turn have great tables for reasonable prices. If you check around craigslist you might be able to score a lightly used one (like me).
