Think I need one, I've always made fun of the console-plebs but it's nice to sit on the couch and unwind instead of sitting in front of the computer.

Pro's = Play from the couch
Con's = Have to pay for games

Who is getting one? I need a 240hz 65" 4k TV too?

I thought the PS4 Pro was 4k? I know it can't play 4k Blueray or whatever but that only affects the people who pay for movies..

Reports are saying it actually runs the old games worse than the original models right now lmao.

Doubtful. Even if it could the performance hit will make it horrible, plus if it's up scaling and not actually rendering it natively I don't know why you'd bother.

it has approximately the same processing power as the amd 480 right now..

But of recent development,  heard only the PS4 Pro will be getting the new generation of Japanese Sexual Assault  VR simulators..  yea that's a thing now.. hahahahahaha

Sooooooo... that's kind of the only new element to the old Decision tree between Halo Xbox, and Playstation JRPGs.

You can't roll full circles on the snes dpad easily, it hurts your fingers to do..  The flat design makes it totally unergonomic vs the tapered handles of modern controllers.

There's no analogue trigger for racing games..

Went against TP's sound judgment. I couldn't resist the urge, got a PS4 Pro for $350 shipped, may the couch gaming sessions begin..

Think I'm going to hold out for an OLED 4k screen in the Spring...dodging the flashy 4k sales during the Holiday's.

Been looking a the pro, but apparently their are issues with the HDMI handshake  No idea if thats fixable with patch or what, and the power/eject buttons are frail AF apparently 
No plans for 4K use, but loading times suck period, so Pro+SSD just makes sense to me. God I want a nice Cyber monday deal, KOF XIV is just lying on a shelf

Yea, SSD would be a nice upgrade.

The reason PS4 has high load times isn't only due to harddrive alone..  CPU speed is another problem..  Decompressing files/textures are most of the time not multi-threadable,   which means the Low IPC of the jaguar cores is a major bottleneck to seamless gaming experience.


But I am hopeful for PS5

Just go on amazon, type in ULMB..

They don't currently have a panel that's tv sized yet.. and none that are 4k..

But they do have 2560x1440 @ 27 inches w/ULMB


4K and ULMB is going to be next year mid year..


OLED is blurry because it has to sample and hold.. 

And another issue, which they've yet to overcome is the Blue degradation which happens 10 to 20x more quickly than the Red/ Green channel..

THe current chemical formulation simply wears out and fast..
