Then you find out they are an anti-vaxxer who believes in ghosts and enjoys the Big Bang Theory.

i enjoyed season 1 and 2 of bbt

Vaccines.. mmmm........  I'm suspicious of pharmacon in general..... I think the big ones should be followed,   Some of the minor diseases,   I do support some parents decision to space out the vaccine instead of all at once, on the schedule..

I definitely believe in Ghosts...  but not the hollywood ghost..

It's certainly possible that an energy field connected the universal consciousness could preserve a presence of the pre-recorded data in SOME WAY..

Ghosts. Ugh, no. Vaccines? I  believe in the time tested ones... Rubella, mumps, polio. These were pretty much gifts to society, and were developed to combat e near epidemic. But some of the new one... Lets pick on HPV... Combat a potential issue and line big pharma's pockets.

Everyone has their personality quirks and an opinion or two that you can argue with. But you should not let that stop you from socialising with most people.

I'm largely agnostic when it comes to the super-natural: it comes from having an academic mindset. Until something is proven to be false or true, it is unproven and nothing else. Also, a "proof" can be, and has many times, been overturned (at least in the fields of sciences).
Lots of people have had strong spiritual experiences. I won't disrespect someone just because they have had an experience that millions of other people have had. We are human.

As to the Big Bang Theory... While I can enjoy a brainless sit-com with boobs after a day of using my brain all day, BBT is just deplorable in its nerdsploitation. I too used to watch it at first.

a while ago here i was chatting a lot with someone that i met through a trade, and we kept on talking afterwards. seemed like a nice, well adjusted guy. working a day job and had a long term girlfriend and played Overwatch, etc

a few months later, and he was sharing a couple of pictures of a bbv2 that he was looking to trade. however, when i looked at one of the photos, on his desk in the background, i could just make out that he had a flipped spacebar........

i just started shaking and didn't know what to do... so i just told him that i had to go and return some video tapes and then blocked him on every medium i could
