I still find the Swedish public service channels to be quite good, the best TV channels over here. They show quite a lot British drama and documentaries, and some of the best shows from HBO -- only about a year later.
When it was on, they used to show a season of Game of Thrones timed so that the last episode of a season was aired precisely a week before the next season premiered on HBO.
Practically everything is also available for online streaming for a limited time from the air-date, only region-locked by IP address. And there are no ads on public service channels or on the web site!
The TV company gets its income from a kind of "TV tax", which is not
called a tax, but it is ... which has caused many people I know to not buy a new one when their old one failed.
So, yes, I do watch TV. I have never had any streaming subscription for Netflix or HBO or whatever.
I once worked at a streaming service where the developers saved its ass from its management over and over again, and I suppose that I might have a bit of an aversion for them.
I might watch at least as much Youtube as TV though.
Yes.. but I hurd in Finland, no-phat-chix
Finland does not have Hurd. Finland has Linux.
