Congestion Pricing (Toll daytime surcharge)
« on: Mon, 06 January 2025, 10:39:29 »
Tp4 is impacted dramatically by this as a poor person.

Buhhhhh.... it's going to hurt capitalism even more in their rapidly dying downtown buildups.

Thoughts ?!!?

People need to vote with their wallet. Every time you turn a blind eye and vote with your dollars telling companies that these bull**** models are ok, they get emboldened. The value of a good doesn't change because of the time of day. A burger isn't worth more because it's supper time. Stop giving your money to these greedy ****s who do nothing but use math and science to remove your money from you in the most effective way possible.

Seems like an excellent idea to me. I hate traffic jams, and if this cuts down on useless rubber-necking I am for it.

Fortunately I have not driven a car in NYC in decades and probably will not do so ever again in my lifetime.

It is going to prevent people who cannot afford to live in the city but work in the city from commuting to work. Parking fees are already absolutely absurd.
Yet another way to gouge to poor. This country is straight up sick.

When there is no one left to work in their factories and pour their coffee, only then will they notice.

Between subway fares and parking, it is probably more expensive to drive and park.

most people going in to lower manhattan use public transit lol

also, poor people are disproportionately without cars...
