This black Friday was totally gay. I ended having to work, and couldn't even land any deals even online for myself. Bought some stuff for friends though.

Btw, that M4 is not considered a black friday deal. It's probably not even considered a deal at all. It has been on sale at that price (or lower) enough times to be considered normal price.

I'm surprised by the lack of graphic card deals...

Not hopeful though, cuz cyber monday isn't a real day..

We don't have Black Friday in Australia, or Thanksgiving.  But when it was Thanksgiving on Thursday in the US, it was already Friday in Australia, and I snagged free postage from Keypop on their Thanksgiving sale :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I think it's cuz they stood all night "waiting" in the cold, hungry and sleep deprived.. that's the most typical recipe for rowdiness.

Well during black friday, the shoppers turn into savages. Few years ago at Walmart, someone got pushed down because of the pushing and shoving, and got trampled to death. Really hard to believe that when someone is on the ground, people would step on you and give zero fukcs, as long as they get their items on sale. Think about how many times you need to be stepped on to die.

Usually it's the pressure from the back of the crowd that does the damage.  The people in front struggle to help but they aren't strong enough to push back the crowd.  Same thing happens at futbol/cricket/etc games.

I ultimately decided on the reference card because XFX chose not to cool the VRM and many users seem to have issues with temperatures.

Yeah, I've had two XFX cards fry on me over the years, from what I found out it was because they don't have sufficient cooling.

Ah... when a girl buys her first washing machine, she's probably secretly or pending "mom mode"..

I grabbed Sniper Elite 1 and 2 + DLC for $17 on Steam sale (like a $70+ value).

Looked like a fun game, anyone played?

That's crazy, sth. I did the same thing with the money I got from selling my keyboards, except I didn't wait for Cyber Monday. I actually ordered it on Black Friday, but nothing I bought was on sale then (that wasn't on sale before). I bought all the components from Maximum PC's "Best Bang For Your Buck!" article in their December issue.

Yeah, I almost bought that Cougar 750W PSU, but I went with the Corsair 600W as planned. Now I just need to sell something else to get another Gigabyte GTX660.

Thanks...and you, too!

You can get a deuce-and-a-half ^^ pretty reasonably at gov't auction. Still more than I can afford, but you know...
