Regarding HHKB slipping
« on: Sun, 27 January 2013, 18:52:56 »
Can anyone recommend a specific brand that i can put on my HHKB so it won't slip off my Mac computer. I place it on top and it slides all over the place. I can only put it on the bottom part of the keyboard because if i put it anywhere else it will hit the keys on the computer keyboard and cause a problem. Thanks.

Um.... hmmm...  you could buy a sheet of adhesive sided rubber. I mean, this is pretty straight forward..

yeah... just find some soft rubber dots or cut strips/a mat out of adhesive rubber. or just spread some rubber cement on the bottom from time to time :P

I've tried those. I was wondering if anyone had a specific type because the ones that i bought are hitting the keys on the computer keyboard. It's frustrating because it is a great keyboard but they should have put better rubber padding underneath. Thanks.

well, yea, you're putting the hhkb ontop' of where your regular keyboard is..

Easiest way is to use the rubber stuff that you have now, and disable the "onboard" keyboard.

I was trying to figure out how to do that. If you have a MAC can you tell me? Thanks.

I can't test this, as my mom has windows on her work macbook..

Had a hackintosh years ago, it wasn't much better than windows after I got bored of the cool bottom bar.
