Oh man I thought it was another Win10 thing recently but you saying FF I tested on Chrome. Chrome did have slightly higher upload each test by 10-40mps which isn't much but Chrome was faster every time. Seems much slower at night too.

Doing a lil research it seems there are ongoing issues w/ FF across the board today. An annoying one where hotkeys are being activated while typing in text prompt areas.
Deff a FF and Safari thing.

Seems to be fixed now, none of the bugs are happening any longer and speeds have returned.

I had a low wattage single core AMD socket 939 that could push around 95% of the theoretical gigabit max over LAN (pretty much the practical limit), while I don't know what you have I can bet it runs rings around that cpu.

firefox's javascript engine is a bit different, and on a whole uses more up to date library than chrome, but as chrome is the most popular most site optimize for chrome and then let an other javascript library handle firefox and others, making it slower, that could explain why firefox can feel slower on some website like youtube.
when it comes to throughput like what you have shown on the OP it would be rather strange, networking is mostly not handled by the cpu at all anymore, so for it to be that badly cpu bound is strange, although as i very rarely use chrome if a site works on Firefox i really have not seen anything of the sort.

Well it'd be in the way firefox uses the cpoo, not so much the hardware itself, can hit 119MB/s pc to pc.
