Dont own it but know stuff about it. It gets quite some hate over here. Basically since its not fully mechanical. The ESC + all F1 keys and the DELETE and those other keys over there isnt mechanical which is to say the least... bad.

Just ran across this KB today, anyone here own one yet? What do you think?

http://www.corsair.com/us/vengeance-gaming/vengeance-gaming-keyboards/vengeance-k60-performance-fps-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html

I have owned this keyboard for about 6 months now. Not all of the keys are mechanical. I think the numpad area is completely membrane based. What I specifically like about this keyboard is that the "F" keys are very close to the numbers, the gap between the "F" keys and the top row is very very small. It makes it very convenient when I play games and have keys binded there.

This keyboard is built great, the design is magnificent, the rubber dome keys make little difference outside of the fact that you won't be able to use a full set of custom key caps

That said, the key-sticking issue has NOT been solved after 6 months, It is likely that it will never be fixed, as it is a design flaw based on the USB'NKRO matrixing implementation.

THE KEYBOARD is completely motherf!@#% useless....

At first, I was angry, then they promised theyed fix it within "weeks", then they said, sorry we don't know wtf to do, I rma-ed twice, then they gave me a K90, but guess what, the K90 ALSO has the Key-sticking issue, WHICH IS ALSO unfixed after 6 months

Imagining racing or playing a game, and a key like the space bar gets stuck, it does't get physically stuck, what happens is, even when the key is released, the keyboard still thinks it's depressed.

The corsair forum below is the primary thread for this rampant key sticking issue, confirms UNFIXED for 6+ months

I think this keyboard has so much potential but the execution is just so fail.  For starter I'll never buy it just for the half mechanical thing, they could've take away the useless scroll thing and the media keys and spend that money on fully mechanical.  Also I find the exchangeable red keys kind of useless too.  Could've swap that with K90 wrist rest, which I actually find to be quite good consider almost all other mechanical keyboards don't come with wrist rest.

Ideally they should just scrap K60 and K90 and just release a half way keyboard.  K90 without the macro keys and fully mechanical keys then we have a winner :)

This is what I think: http://www.key-bored.net/corsair-k60/

Nice photos it basically says what you need it to say.

I really liked your lawn, my grass looks really sick and weedy but yours looks absolutely superb.  I can see you use a full on Reel Lawnmower because all the grass stems look perfect no rips or distortions.

Got to buy a Reel/Cylinder Lawnmower soon.

i didnt mind the membrane keys except for the fact that it limits how much you can customize if you wanted to switch out key caps.
wrist rest wasnt comfortable to me. but the rubber keys were sweet for gaming. typing with them was weird though.
i actually thought the scroll wheel was the best way to control volume on a keyboard that ive ever tried.
probably would have kept it if TKL boards didn't exist.

I used to use a reel mower. It was great on some grass, but when we moved, it would get blunt too quickly on the thick kentucky bluegrass. We'd have to sharpen it more than monthly instead of once or twice a season.

Longweight: It says in your article that it weighs 962mm.

I think it'd get a little more respect if the RD's it used weren't awful. Not all RD's are bad. My olivetti, for example, has excellent domes. But the consensus has been "fail" ever since we learned that it wasn't fully mechanical.

Does anyone know if you could mod a k60 to be fully mechanical? I know it would take quite a bit of wiring, but would the cherry switches fit in where the rubber domes currently are?

Edit: fixed typo.

Cool, thanks. Thread and pic here: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showpost.php?p=3136614&postcount=5446 for anyone else who is interested.  Would kinda be a fun mod, but I would have to find a cheap price on a used board to make it worth while.

I like the styling - how the keys are just "out there" instead of inside a black plastic tub like most boards.  The 1/2 mechanical 1/2 membrane is bizarre... that's purely to drive down costs, I'm sure.

I also agree that the styling for the k60 is really nice. Mech keyboard makers should really take to turning the classic look of the keyboard and make it more modern looking. And I'm not talking about those super bulky "gamer" ones like the azio mech 5 or the razer bwu. Just something simple, modern, and slim.

Are we all ignoring the fact that the K60 and K90 are both completely unusable keyboards due to the Key'sticking issue???? which remains unfixed after 6 months, because they screwed up the matrixing in hardware.
