I think it is a fine keyboard if you really think you need those extra keys and "gamer blings" and I believe they come only with the brown switchs which are popular but you might like something else.
there are cheaper options which people around here generally tend to like more, such has leopold/ducky/vortex/cm storm
Yeah space is not an issue for me so I'd prefer to have extra features like macros and num pad. I mean there's no reason to not have them when other keyboards cost about the same but don't have them, unless there's something else I'm not aware about in keyboards. I checked some of the keyboards like ducky and a bunch of them were in the $120+ range but had no extra features. Some of the other keyboards I looked at were CM Trigger but it had a 6kro, Quickfire TK, and Quickfire Rapid but I'm not sure about the lack of num pad since I use mine quite often. This will be my first mechanical and I'm looking to get either blue or brown switches (leaning towards brown)
I'm like you only recently gotten into mechanical keyboards and yesterday got my first one after waiting for the shipping from the keyboard company for so long.
on my old keyboard I got used to typing numbers and on occasion doing calculations with the numpad but I decided it is not a necessity and I really wanted to try something smaller. desk space is not an issue for me either I have quite a large desk here but I like to keep things minimalistic.
so far I am not missing the numpad as much as I thought I will on my TKL Filco. it does feel akward at times to have a shorter keyboard but it's only because I had this rubberdome keyboard for close to 10 years now and I got used to it.
overall it is for me it feels nicer having my mouse closer to the keys I type with and not needing to move my hand all the time over keys a generally don't use that much.
also I used to play WoW few years back and I never needed all those extra macro buttons to be successful. I just utilized the keys that were easy to reach like the keys near the WASD cluster and the 1-5/6 along with modifier combinations and it worked out for me very well.
