I am thinking about purchasing the brushed black one.

Sorry if this has been brought up before. I just want to get some feedback on how it feels, looks and sounds.

Most definitely.  It's no Korean Marvel but it does it's job of elevating a humble Filco into the ranks of LZ's and 356's     (Joking people, please don't start a lynching here).

The "handling" of these cases during manufacturing is pretty rough.. Pretty much all of them has little dings and imperfections...

So when you have those on a "darker color"  it will look like little nicks' of silver bits on an otherwise uniformly colored case..


It's best to go with "silver", and re-anodize to whatever color you want on your own...

because the manufacturing defects are FAR LESS obvious on a SILVER case.... 


Yes, you MAY get a choice cut, and all your defects are on the "inside of the case", that would be great, BUT.... based on vortex's track record, and this "specific cases' "  track record.... that is of low probability....



I mean, I also found it somewhat suspicous that MK's always taking shallow depth + somewhat blurry photos of these cases, while their other products sport very clear "in focus" shots...  )
