Good find, but the rebate kills it. I much rather spend (and I did) the extra $10 and order it from Amazon.

Why does a rebate kill it? Bad experience with CM rebates?

It just takes at least a month to a few months to see that money come back to you. Not only that, but the rebate is usually in the form of a temporary credit/gift card.

I've been buying Amazon gift cards with the rebate cards.  It's not too bad and better than leaving 50 cents on a card.

Rebates are fine as long as you don't need the money right away. I'd rather order through Newegg if the price is basically the same from both places because Amazon charges me sales tax and Newegg doesn't for me. I have both Amazon Prime and 2-day ShopRunner for Newegg so its the same delivery time for me either way.

Thanks, I try.

I hate rebates. It is very rare that I buy based on a mail-in rebate.

It takes a very long time (many many weeks) and I would say that, in the long run, I have never received half of the ones that I applied for.

Mostly I just hate being jerked around.
“No political truth is of greater intrinsic value, or is stamped with the authority of more enlightened patrons of liberty: The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands .… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” —James Madison, Federalist 47
“All the powers of government, legislative, executive, and judiciary, result to the legislative body. The concentrating of these in the same hands, is precisely the definition of despotic government. An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one .... in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.” — Thomas Jefferson, commentary on Federalist 48
