feeling between gold spring and normal spring?

i have found that there are two type of spring. one is normal spring, and the other one is gold spring.
Is there any different between them beside the color? just like feeling, or others?
and how are they rare? because i see a lot of people are trading them but not selling them

I was pretty skeptical that there was a difference between the two until I tried them at Keycon. The gold springs feel slightly heavier than the silver ones. But this might be more due to the fact that the gold springs are slightly longer than the material. I found that Sifo's explanations that 62g gold springs can be called "63g or 63.5g" is a great explanation as to how they feel.

Why are they rare? I haven't been able to nail down a solid source for them. They seem to trickle in from various Korean sources.

The group buy for gold springs are over and probably not going to be restarted for a while. There really is no difference, gold springs are literally the same ones anodized gold.

They literally feel the same except the gold springs are heavier slightly. One isn't smoother than the other.

IMO gold springs feel more springy.
They ain't #legitballin for no reason.

I didn't have any chance to try gold spring yet.
So what actually does springy mean? And is that a big difference?

If the spring return faster, that'd mean it's exerting more force.


There is also the possibility that the spring is closer to a perfect spring than the standard silver ones.

and ^^ that is being perceived as "more springy" or returning "faster".   So the acceleration is constant, whereas a less perfect "silver spring" would not accelerate evenly as it relaxed..


THIS IS SPECULATION... I highly doubt humans can perceive such a difference in 4mm travel.

You can't anodize steel. I know of three ways to colour steel gold: galvanise (zink plate), heat-treatment, plate in gold or brass. I find galvanising to be most probable.
