Funny to see how Asians' staple food is the rice which is also seen everywhere else as a ways of drying some poor soaked (in water or a mix containting water) electronic component up. It is also a poor man's way of drying things.

Jokes aside, silica gel is the best thing to soak up moisture. Also putting the exposed electronic component in an airtight container would further be ideal as that would prevent any rust growing on the electronic. Getting a large enough bag of silica gel is often hard let alone being able to afford for a large bag full of it in the first place.
