Snowboarding Thread

Post your favourite snowboard heroes and videos!

There is so much snow right now on my mountains right now; can't wait to get out and play.

Pshhh. Skiing all the way :p

Either way I'm jealous of you since my local mountain originally opened up and then all the snow melted, waited another month for them to re-open for the exact same thing to happen. This winter sucks. :(

+1  Skiing invasion!  :P

All the hills around here are desperately trying to make snow, with moderate success.  Hoping that changes in the coming weeks.

Here's my local mountain, every other webcam doesn't show any snow at all...

Edit: Oops well it looks like I linked an image that will continuously update. Currently can't see anything but I guess I should just screenshot it next time it's day. If I remember lol

Oh ****! We actually do have snow! It probably helps that we are in the middle of a huge storm that's supposed to bring 8-12" or so.  :))

Lucky you, I'm kind of glad I didn't spend $500 on a season pass this year. At least I can look forward to Vail, Colorado this summer break. :D

Is this really supposed to be limited to videos? Or can we discuss the sports and share pics / route maps as well?

Tom Wallisch is the homie, his uncle was actually my art teacher in high school. He grew up right near me so I met him a few times on the local mountain.

No man, do whatever! I'm just trying to get amped up for the snow season, and would love to see a lot more snowboarding content or videos to inspire me. :)

That's awesome! Devun Walsh is a local, but haven't ran into him. Regardless, it's always a good time at the mountains. ^-^

Devil's Head is comparable to Cascade; more lifts but they're old slow lifts. They have similar: vertical, number of runs & terrain parks so it's really just a change of pace if you're bored of Cascade. Devils Head isn't quite as busy if you don't like the crowds. I loooooove Granite Peak. That ~4.5 hour drive is just prohibitive so I only make it up there once or twice a year.

Nice.  Devil's Head isn't the closest to me, so not sure when I'll get able to get out there, but it sounds decent. :)  And I'm not sure if there's ever a situation where it would help, but I'm only 1.5 hours from Granite Peak if you need somewhere to crash (though you'd probably just stay in a hotel in Wausau I suspect).  But do let me know when you make it up!  Or if you ever hit up Little Switz too (or any of the WI hills).  ;)

That's mighty kind of you! Believe it or not, we've never gotten a hotel on a trip to Granite Peak. It's always been 4.5 hour drive, shred for 8 hours and 4.5 hours home which is not very smart. I'll let you know!

Snowed ~15" here in the last few days. Ive been really enjoying the powder! Luckly, around here when it snows 8"+ a lot of the businesses will close to take some runs so I end up getting to go snowboard! :) Aspen valley CO.

Sweet, I've always wanted to check out the Colorado mountains. Used to date someone from around that area.

Whistler is my home big mountain, but I also love the smaller local mountains (Cypress and Seymour).

I've fractured my left wrist twice and chipped three teeth freestyle skiing. My brother also lacerated his spleen attempting a double front flip and put himself in the ER for a week. It's pretty damn dangerous but fun as hell.

My drill keycap flew at me like a bullet, and wizzed past my neck..

I didn't notice the stock wasn't 20mm.. because someone used the machine overnight with different material.

Because why not?

The lack of snow and below zero weather around here has caused a pretty much non-existent season.
