Boughts a cheepy Asmedia card..

My server won't boot now..  37 hours to recover array..

it is, but it should be mostly a transparent setup.

For whatever reason, the drivers messed up my original array running off the original mainboard raid.

This is proliant hardware, so it's suppose to be pretty bulletproof, but somehow asmedia threw a wrench in it.

Rebuild time jumped from 37 hrs to 214 hrs..
