Breakfast in Bed.. Does not compute..
« on: Thu, 24 April 2014, 22:25:15 »
If Breakfast in Bed was a possibility...

That would mean, you're somewhere with a stationary bed..  Very few of such places would come without a restroom..

So..... There's no reason why you wouldn't be able to ```brush your teeth``` after awakening..

So... then Why would anyone have breakfast in bed...

Condensed version of I'm asking is,  why would anyone prefer to eat breakfast in-their-beds upon waking without brushing their teeth first....

same here. I don't want my Crest (with baking soda) messing up the flavor of my perfectly percolated coffee... which is all I have for breakfast.

Do most of you brush more than once a day?

wake up brush/goto sleep brush

i've heard of ppl doing it after lunch as well... i think if you do it more than 3x a day, you're probably ocd... no joke the dentist will say you're brushing too much, to the point that you're brushing away your gums. (happened to co-worker)

As far as breakfast in bed goes, I've never had it but I imagine it would be amazing. Not only is breakfast food my favorite type of food (bacon, eggs, hash browns, OJ or chocolate milk, Toast) but the very premise of breakfast in bed means that you have someone who is willing to wake up, not disturb you and prepare a breakfast for you as the first thing they do in the morning. Thats in itself is better than the meal, be it a mother or father, or wife/GF. Its a pretty profound gesture.

i even floss regularly.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I rarely am up for breakfast, but even when I am I never eat for several hours after I awake anyway.

If I could though, if I was lazy or sick enough....**** the crumbs or mess....bring me food to my slumber place!

I brushed after lunch, not because I am odd but because my breath smelled from the coffee I took at lunch. So in order to save my co-workers from fainting, I have to brush my teeth (and tongue).

Edit: back on topic, yeah I wouldn't imagine why people want to eat in bed and leave the crumbs on the bed, thus attracting ants and cockroaches and I don't know what other creepy crawlies.

Man some bacon, waffles, and coffee sound pretty great right about now. Even better if I didn't have to get out of bed to have them.

You guys do know that brushing after you ate is bad for your teeth? rule of thumb is that you should wait an hour before brushing after you ate something. This is because of the acids, sugars and whatnot which you are essentially just rubbing in when brushing. Also if you brush before you eat, your teeth will be clean and all the **** attacking your teeth will have a harder time sticking.

I hate breakfast in bed, you sit uncomfortable and awkward and the food always chooses to take a hike to my mattress every time I look away... and I have no TV in my bedroom.
