Things you cook for the holidays..

I'm sure some of you have things that you make specifically for holiday get togethers.. what did you make?

I just finished making nearly 100 pierogi from scratch.  I think my hands are going to fall off  :-X

I used to make this lamb and beef sweet and savory stuffing every year, but now I just order Chinese food and drink a lot.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

That sounds so much easier to me.. can you convince my wife that is the way to go?   :thumb:

Also, have a breakfast casserole to throw into the oven when we wake up, but that isn't really much work

I and my sister are vegetarian. The Swedish traditional Christmas food is very heavy on the meat, so I have imported a few recipies for vegetarian christmassy dishes from other countries.
This year I made Swedish-style soy/seitan ham (picture) from scratch, coated with mustard and breadcrumbs, Finnish root-pudding and an English-style chestnut/stuffing roast.
I have also baked gingerbread and (German-style) "lebkuchen". Maybe some English-style "mince pie" or "black bun" tomorrow.

Stuffing (onion, herbs etc)
Roasted Pork shoulder

We make a couple hundred ricotta cheese ravioli and homemade sauce w/ homemade meatballs for Christmas/Easter Day, and on Christmas Eve we make 7 different fish.
