Thoughts on the Corsair K65?

How does the K65 look to you guys? It looks like a board that would be a pain to mod the switches on.

Except TP4...  TP4 thinks you should get an Eeeeeee... You should listen to TP4


Anyway.. The k65 seems much improved.. I haven't heard any firmware complaints (sticky-key).. so lets go on faith that they fixed their matrix-ing problem with the "Hacked Kro system" on their boards.

Other than that.. the volume rocker is SOLID...  in all other ways it performs identically to ANY keyboard..

Aesthetics... it's aight...  you'd have some trouble with the bottom row, but I think it'd be fine if you had a few shorter keys..  the space bar... mmm you can cut and putty your own if it comes down to perfect match..

I don't really know why I left my K90.... I really like the keycaps on it. Miss reds too. I might one of them lol.

no leds, messed up bottom row, reds only, is TKL instead of 75%.

it's a no brainer bad-buy for ME; ALL of those independently are dealbreakers (i'm not into soldering to replace the switches)(well, TKL would be okay if it didn't have all the other defects).

benefits are:  detachable cord, GREAT aesthetic, media keys

Here be the xml file for the emoticonverter.. I've attached the newest more complete version to this post. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

You need toolbar autohide, to put it conveniently on the bottom of ur screen..

it will look like THIS... when you click open the menu, from the bottom bar    45002-0

But with the NEW-xml file I attached, it should have all the Onion-Cat emoticons as well as the Tuzki Rabbit

I wouldn't buy a Corsair keyboard.  They're expensive for the quality and they have nonstandard modifier sizes which causes headaches if you want to upgrade to higher quality keycaps.

Corsair sells some nice products, but I wouldn't buy any of their peripherals.

I like my k95 a lot. But for the features on the k65, I would probably rather just about any other board than the corsair.
