Have turkey but...
« on: Thu, 28 November 2013, 13:20:59 »
Today is, for some of us, very tied up with family and food, but what can be said about the parts of our lives which deserve thanks? I'd like to say mine to a few Geekhackers who have made a sincere difference in this small part of our 2013 with great dedication.

-Mashby - key con would have never been so cool without this man and his sparkle Barbie.
-mkawa - supportive as all ****ed.
-CPTBadAss - hotel bro + games
-jdcarpe - GH60 would not be the same.
-BunnyLake - Local philanthropist and dreamer
-Hashbaz - Cherry Legends, need I say more?
-Everyone who has supported my growth in cap-craft.

Thanks to those and everyone else. Happy thanksmurrica to all!

Obligatory sideways photo of Canadian eating food in murrica. Such happy! Very thanks!

I'm thankful for the people of this community who gather here to discuss keyboards and other interests. Especially those who try to make this a fun place where people help each other, and not just a place to buy and sell things.

I'm also thankful for the community, and I want to thank some specific people.

First, thank you jdcarpe for sending me a free soldering station to solder up a qazpad and some other projects, they're really nice and helpful!
Next, BlindRAGE606 for hosting a giveaway that I won, the red and black keycap is so nice
Also I would like to thank jcrouse for his sales and the nice keycaps he sent me
Finally I would like to thank everyone on geekhack for all the help!

you have some weed. you're not alone!
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
