Painting keyboard?
« on: Mon, 30 December 2013, 16:51:22 »
Ok, so I'm interested in painting my shine 3.... I want to use http://www.lowes.com/pd_416843-61158-11219-6_4294965076__?Ntt=plasti-dip%2B&UserSearch=plasti-dip%2B&identifier=Blue&productId=3816951&rpp=32
Would it be ok to use it on a keyboard though?

Yea.. it'll work fine..

lay down thin coats.. plasti dip can run pretty easily because it's very heavy..  consider getting the clear coat too if you want a shine..

Check out my painting thread here:

I'd not advise Plasti-Dip until I see more successful testing.  See this:

You can try some oil enamels (RustOleum Painter's Touch at Home Depot) or vinyl dyes (those come in sprays too, by VHT or DupliColor).

I'll try next month maybe....  It works well on wheels, so I though it might work well on a keyboard.
