I tested this on my x220 laptop..

battery-removed..

OCCT power test-- 11.67-12.5 frames per second, both tests, steady state 15mins test.


Old 2006 AC adapter (90watt),  53.5 watts @ the wall

Old 2009 AC adapter (90watt), 55.0 watts @ the wall

New 2013 AC adapter (90watt), 58.0 watts @ the wall


So the OLDER 2006 adapter is roughly 8% more efficient than the NEW 2013 adapters.

Clearly we're seeing a trend here.. the slow decline in Lenovo parts quality.
