So I ran out of sleeping pills last night...
« on: Mon, 15 June 2015, 07:13:55 »
Haven't pulled an all-nighter in like a year. Why did I enjoy doing this before? I'm currently totally dependent on medically induced sleep, since my brain removal operation about a month ago.

My eyeballs feel so bad wtf.

So I'm posting my first pointless thread heyyy~!

When you wake up matters.

If you make a bad habit of sleeping wheneves,   its going to make you wake up whenever.

I know your pain (I've not had brain surgery) . I stay in bed without sleeping about once a week, and it's been going on for years.
I don't know what kind of meds you have. But the strongest thing docteurs are willing to give me is Zolpidem/Ambien, and it will work but only sometimes. (other times I self medicate  ;))

For what it's worth my schedule was consistent before tonight errr last night.

I'm just taking the rest of my oxy + a tylenol PM routinely, but ran out of tylenol PM. I've heard some scary stuff about the heavier sleeping meds, not sure I'm that desperate heh. I was jk with the brain surgery thing, it was much more normal than that.

Yeah I was hoping that they didn't remove part of your brain, well as long as it's not the creative part (I don't have any of your caps in my collection yet, but hopefully one day I will).
I have been trying to stay away from the pills, since I don't notice huge difference from when I take them or not. So if I can avoid meds that don't really help, I do.

Ur on Oxy?

Careful dude..  that stuff is heroin..   It's actually technically better than heroin, because it's medical grade, with far less side-effects..

The American heroin addiction growth has Linearly (parallel) followed the "rise" in prescription opioids.

It's really hard to quit heroin,   even people who quit for several years has a 50/50 shot of going back to it..

Make no excuses to yourself,   if you're on Oxy, for medical purposes or otherwise,  YOU"RE DOING HEROIN..

I can't stress this enough....     I had severe food poisoning a while back,  it caused acute gastritis, and the doctor was going to prescribe me Percocet,   I told him, no, I'm just gonna role with it.

I don't disagree with this.
When i had my wisdom's removed i got some oxy for the pain which really wasn't that bad after the surgery but i took it anyways because i had it.
Now i'm not 100% sure but after i started taking the meds when i wasn't regularly taking them i would get this massive headache when i missed a dose and at the time it just seemed that it was deriving from the wisdom tooth area pain feeling like it was a headache so i just kept taking the medication but later my wife mentioned that it's possible that it's withdrawal symptoms from the oxy so i forced myself through the headache and then after that initial bad headache the pain returned to what i remembered when i awoke from the surgery but obviously better since it had healed a bit.
So yeah it's possible that it was actually the pain giving me a headache which had just happen to have gotten better when i stopped taking the oxy but it's also possible it was withdrawal from the oxy. Either way i would be cautious of it.

Just to keep things in perspective the lack of amount/time it was in, i still have some of the oxy from that surgery and the bottle was only half full at most and i was taking like 3 a day.

It's seldom any ONE -- thing..    It's almost always a combination of factors.

But heroin withdrawl can occurs within a week of continuous use..

usually, it starts with something like mild diarrhea..  because your pipes are placated during opiate use, whereas it goes into over-drive once you stop using it.

ALSO,  I must stress to anyone here using  Opiates or Opioids..

NO,   you --CANNOT-- Handle it....

There are no functional heroin users who can just-chip..

Maybe they can do that for a week, a month,  but over time,   BOOM,  naughty things on the streets for a hit..

I thought-about what it would take to produce a Consequence-Free Heroin User..

You need a MALE--Sibling who loves you unconditionally and won't "bite-you",   and a trust fund around $100,000,000  USD. <self sustaining level of money>

Melatonin

Works well and it is what your body produces naturally to make you sleepy, not a drug.

Cheap and over-the-counter, use the 1mg size unless you really need the 3mg or 5mg, which are way too strong for me.

Don't take it when you wake up in the middle of the night or you will have trouble getting up in the morning.

And, like everything, don't do it every day or you will become dependent on it.
"It's 110, but it doesn't feel it to me, right. If anybody goes down. Everybody was so worried yesterday about you and they never mentioned me. I'm up here sweating like a dog. They don’t think about me. This is hard work.
Do you feel the breeze? I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care."

An acquaintance of ours gives melatonin to her kids, personally for me reading a book puts me out every time.

I tried this a while back..

It worked, but I noticed I had cold-sweat each time I woke up the next morning for the whole week I used it.

Who the **** gave you oxy for sleep????

It's for two separate things, haha. Okay so basically I had a bunch of rods implanted in my spine to correct what was about a 50 degree scoliosis, which ended up being pretty painful for a long time. So the oxy was for that, while the tylenol PM is so so I can sleep. This was recommended by my doctor, so hopefully it should be okay.

oxy can be very habit forming. atleast it doesn't make you feel as good as heroine or give you that "rush", which i'd assume would be a large factor into a mental addiction vs the previously stated chemical dependency. gl with your health

I appreciate the look out, you seem pretty knowledgeable about all this . I've tapered off slowly since the operation, from 4 a day on a three hour cycle down to one a day, only to keep the pain down enough to sleep. Should be able to go without it soon; managed to make it through today WEOW

It doesn't give you a RUSH like  IV injection of Heroin..    but this "concept" of "RUSH"  is correlated with tolerance..

If you're a normal person, drinks milk every morning, 3 square meals, no alcohol, no vices,     Oxy WILL give you a pretty sizable RUSH..

Whereas,  a heroin-addict, will probably need the whole bottle to feel HIGH,   and the 10-20ml  iv-users , well, yea,  they're probably going to try and inject the oxy,  which doesn't actually work as well, because it doesn't dissolve right.

true, i've had scripts of oxy and other things like vic and t3, but when i had some hip issues that were pretty serious, i was given a couple mg of iv Dilaudid. Now that ****... yeah. It was scary how good it felt, literally heroine. I just remember having an onset intense wave of warm and tingles, everything seems ok with the world and i couldn't care less about ****. Very very scary, would not suggest unless in extreme pain.

This is precisely what completely Changes the LIVES of opioid users..   it's SO GOOD,  nothing else compares..

I think having experienced it is good as it gives you a very harsh but real perspective on just how primitively mechanical our mind is..

But,  it's a dangerous game should you NEED the stuff..
