Another year has gone by...
« on: Fri, 18 December 2015, 18:22:11 »
Turning 32 today and I feel so damn old. Glad to end up here though as I feel it's very fitting to get into this hobby at just the right time. I pretty much quit gaming so all I do now is keyboard stuff and work.

Loving every minute here in GH, with all the ups and downs that I went through. Life is good, work is good, and with my baby boy coming next month, I can't be any happier right now.

Here's to another great year ahead!

Turning 32 today and I feel so damn old.

My next birthday will be twice 32.

For whatever it's worth, I did not even blink at 30, blew past 40, and was first really bothered at 50. So I seriously improved my diet, took up Tae Kwon Do, and really got my **** together so that I was probably healthier at 60 than I was at 50.

Unfortunately, I have slacked off in the last couple of years, and I can certainly feel it. So many people worry about their money more than they do about their health. There are 4 categories of health: physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional. Tend carefully to all of them.
"It's 110, but it doesn't feel it to me, right. If anybody goes down. Everybody was so worried yesterday about you and they never mentioned me. I'm up here sweating like a dog. They don’t think about me. This is hard work.
Do you feel the breeze? I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care."

Please don't fall in to the "old" thing if you can help it. Maybe there are older members here that can comment but I work with a guy who is 55, doesn't look much older than 40 at best. The other guy just turned 60, looks like the ****ing crypt keeper. Just looks so damn feeble and run down. I mean, he looks like he should have a caregiver with him. Him and his wife because they subscribed to the "old" mentality. I recently turned 37 and still don't feel older than mid 20's at best. I know I can only fight the aging body so much. Skateboarding isn't kickflips down 12 stairs anymore but I still get out there.

Happy Birthday!

Edit: Congrats on the baby!

A really nice advice here. I know that I've been slacking off as well these past couple of years but at least I kinda counter it by eating healthy.

I promised myself to start hitting the gym again this coming year when my son is born :D

Old people tell me they can't exercise because they won't physically recover from the exertion..

Is this true that the deviation in recovery speed is to the point where such person has to remain largely stationary/\.

Recovery time is a huge bugaboo, and that is what makes it so hard to keep up with young people. When you are young, a 5-10 minute rest period will get you back in the game, almost as good as new. When you are old, even a decent rest often only gets you back to 50%.

Damn. I remember when I hit 25 and thought I was getting old. What a fool I was.
29 now, and my last year of being a 20-something. Not sure how I feel about it.

Happy birthday, raymogi! I stopped gaming earlier this year, which probably helped contribute to my sudden spike in keyboard paraphernalia. I've gone through many hobbies over the years, but this is the first I can use on a daily basis, both for play and work.

I hope to have a wallet as fat as yours in a couple of years. Seeing your acquired loot in just a few months makes me super jelly!

lol thanks!

Yea I don't spend much on anything else right now so I can pretty much funnel everything to food and keyboard stuff. I'm done with all those fancy clothes and sneakers, didn't even use them that much these days.

Happy birthday, child :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. I hope he's scheduled for later in January, otherwise you'll have one bunch of presents late each year and another set early the next year
