What is UV Coating on Cooler Master Masterkeys pro?

I'm confused by what the UV coating is on the Cooler Master Masterkeys pro keyboards. Some have stated it gets dirty easy and don't like it. But isn't it just some chemical that keeps the plastic from fading? Isn't it non detectable on a plastic surface like it is on sun glasses?

so if you leave a keyboard in the sun.

the ultraviolet rays can damage the plastic,  either the paint coating OR the plastic itself.

So a uv coating would improve the durability of the keycap paint/ plastic to some extent.



HOWEVER,  all painted back lit keys get rubbed off eventually.   And if you're one of those kids that never cut their nails, it will happen quite soon.



There exists double shot back lit keycaps you can replace the original with,  but it's like another 80 bux,




Backlit overall is on the tacky side,  but kids love um..

it's a black keyboard,  uv turns plastic yellow,  you won't even see that over black..

Well, i read somewhere that uv reflecting paint makes colors pop more,  because even though it's not in the visible spectrum, your receptors still get a larger burst of energy ?

Well astronauts see spots of light due to gamma radiation even when they have their eyes closed in space..  and gamma isn't in the visible spectrum either..


So I'd assume it's a similar process.
