How many 'spare' screws did you have after reassembly last time?  If N<3 go for it, if not you probably don't want to risk it falling apart...

It's an x220, have taken it apart over 10 times, the parts quality and Tp4 SKILLZ is high enough such that, not worried about parts wear,  But Christ it's a hassle...

They really borked the design on this model.. WHY GOD WHY..

You have to disassemble everything including taking out the whole screen to safely get the Mobo out.

Dat x220 engineer is demonic.

Personally there's little worse than fan noise but not sure rattling counts as it's not an incessant monotone drone.  Do you have a replacement fan?  If not not sure what you can do to fix it even if you do open it up again.

I think I may have been overzealous with the oil.  there might've been an extra drop there, and now it's in the impeller spindle sloshing causing an imbalance.

Any chance some compressed air into the vent could dislodge the oil?

The grates are too fine to get the little hose in..

Can I  PRETEND like it's not happening, and eventually it will evaporate enough such that the imbalance is gone ?

.. La la la la la.. I don't have a busted laptop.

I have one laptop that requires that much disassembly to reach the second ram slot.
