I dunno. I more miss the early superhero movies like Rami's Spider Man, Blade, Punisher, and Nolan's Batman. To me it seems like as soon as it was apparent the MCU formula was like pissing money, every other studio started copying that. And that formula basically took over from Iron Man 2 onward making every comicbook movie feel exactly the same and be really REALLY boring. The Avengers movies are some of the worst, most dull party trick distractions I've ever seen, and the amount of money it costs to make something so incredibly unremarkable is astounding. Which apparently doesn't matter at all because the studio knows everyone will go to see it anyway.
And for the record I think the recent DC films are even worse, they are just so boring vanilla take-zero-chances and do nothing interesting. Plus DC films lately all feel rushed, as if the script was dumped and every film's release was pushed up 6 months or something. They just feel slapped together with no heart, with every finger in the pie pulling the script in another direction.
In all honesty I think Spiderverse and the first Deadpool movie were the only actually good superhero movies since the first Iron Man in 2008, and Thor Ragnarok is the only good MCU film since Iron Man 1.
