Loud cars
« on: Sun, 22 September 2019, 22:07:09 »
Why do people drive loud cars that are loud just for the sake of being loud(and obnoxious).
It’s 11pm on a Sunday and people are trying to sleep

This seemed like the appropriate place to raise such a topic.

As someone who has to get up at 5am I can sympathize a little bit, but 11pm is pretty early. Now if it was after midnight you might have a stance.

To be fair, last night it was 11. Most week nights it’s anywhere from 10-3 am

Because loud cars are cooler than silent cars would be my guess.

Some old junky truck and a rusty mustang.

When the mustang drives by during the day and my neighbor is out, he stands there and flips them the bird until they are out of sight

Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

I, for one, enjoy a lot the sound of old 911's and their non-water cooled flat 6 engines and I love the music that comes out of older V8 Ferrari like the F355 and I'll miss these the day they won't ever be seen on the road again but... I understand they are obnoxious to many and I guess I'll be ok switching to a full electric car, like say one of these upcoming 2020 Tesla Roaster and it's 0-60 in 1.9s and its 250+ mph top speed  ; )

I can dig the noise, but time and place is key :) and not just a loud exhaust hahah.

Also wouldn’t mind cruising around in a Tesla

SELF DRIVING..  Tp4 h8s driving almost as much as Tp4 h8s walking...

Other Hughmahnns also highly unreliable drivers, a danger 2 Tp4..

Costco should buy out USPS + Greyhound, and just deliver watermelon and Televisions to the entirety of USA,

Big electric tram just goes around once a week, and delivers stuff.

I like to walk to places and back, and I constantly get annoyed by people driving obnoxiously loud cars.
Every single time, I'm very tempted to shout at them, but I don't think they'd hear me over the ear-shatteringly loud revving,
which sounds like the engine is wheezing and is begging for death.

demik's posting again?

When did this occur?!?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

My sister's such an angry driver. Constantly flipping people off and is just so aggressive. And that is why I never drive with her. :P

This actually sounds very dangerous, for her and others.. def have a sit down at some point.

The moment she's flipping someone off, she could get blind sided by traffic or a pot hole or a sudden turn in the road.

Pot holes aren't really a problem here unless you're out in the country.
I suppose she could yes.
I was more worried that she'd flip off the wrong person.

I agree. I don't know how she'd take it if I confronted her about it though. :D She has a temper.

What a twist. 10/10 would watch that movie, I think.
I doubt she'll ever get violent, but I don't know though.
