Ok so I'm hearing headcrabs but whatever made this noise was walking through my yard around 3am.

Well that's ... interesting.  Was it was loud enough to wake you up or were you just really bored and reviewing security footage?

To me it sounds like an excited pig of some kind but I'm no expert on pigs or headcrabs :))

Sounds like a cat ,  it doesn't sound throaty, reverb enough to be a larger animal.

But that could just be the mic being tuned for human voices.

We've had cats for 13+ years and they've never made a sound like this recording.

Where in the world are you, SpamRay?

If in North America, I think the noises could be from a couple of opossums sizing eachother up.

^ video of sounds to misidentify the culprit.  $1000 says you're dealing with a coconut crab.

TIL that Q1 Ogres (Q1 Monsters 0:35), sound suspiciously like Bobcats (1:13).  dang

^ Those are some angry sounding kitties :))

The first one's an option, the others sound too high pitched.
