Dammit Valve

Steam is down, and not only that but the client cannot even launch so no one can even play in offline mode right now. That is completely unacceptable I cannot play a game I paid for and own that is installed on my hd and requires no internet connection because I cannot launch a client.

That is NOT OK Valve.

It's back up now, but they actually now require you to log in online to access the client and go into offline mode. Brilliant design.

Your only choices are physically disconnecting your Ethernet to play, or launching the applications directly through their .exe files.

PC gaming is dying thanks to online DRM sh**.

I buy only old, discounted games on GoG now. I hate Steam.
Plus, the race for the latest games to always require high-end hardware is getting old.

That.... doesn't sound right. Not questioning you, but I've always been able to launch offline when the internet was down.
