Preliminary test: hdmi cable included,

Out of the Box,  HDMI black lvl is set to low, (which is wrong, should be set to normal for 0-255 response)

Color temp 6300k,  pretty decent,  Brightness 247.9cd

Gamma tracking is, Pretty reasonable. starts reasonably close to 2.2, then drifts into 2.4gamma (too dark). But not bad..

Grey balance , good within +/- 5%, measured from 10% grey and up

PLEASANT surprise,  3748:1 Contrast ratio @ 6538K.   I mean, Tp4 has seen plenty of 4000:1 panels, they're aight.  For a small panel such as this.  3748:1 is Higher than the 3000:1 on the box,  But it's still just aight..  6000:1 is where top kek is though.. (For VA-types).

Xercising the pixels prior to calibration.

Post Pixel exercise:

Up to 3870:1 contrast @ 6537K,  up from 3748:1 pre-xercise

Peak brightness hitting 250cd

I'd say samsung should be pretty proud of this out of the box performance, even if Delta E is not great, no n00b would complain bout this.

Ok, Calibrated stat.

Average deltaE, 0.31

Max deltaE, 1.15

93.33% SRGB Coverage.

3850:1 Contrast Ratio

Sooooo.. yea.. pretty standard, bloom uniformity is alrite, very little DSE..

Pretty solid.   The white bezel is making Tp4 very angry.. will probably put some electrical tape on it.

NO, Tp4 will not PAINT monitor bezels, propellant paint contains powerful solvents, even taped up it could eat into screen.

Exercising pixels?  I've heard it all now :))  Looks like it worked though...

There is such a thing as non-spray paint, or you could precision cut some vinyl wrap with your nice sharp Olfa?

Yea, pixels have to turn in order to let the light through,  so a black screen is 0 rotation, white is full rotation, (it may be partial rotation depending on how the firmware is setup to target white-point/balance)

So, if you leave a monitor in a box, the pixels get lazy, and they don't quite want to make full rotation. So you have to exercise them,  after exercise, the monitor will have a slightly increased White Output, Thereby giving a higher contrast ratio.

Hrrrm... noticed a drawback..

Dithering performance is not very good.  gradients arn't as smoot

likely resultant of low precision dithering engine, prolly low bit lookuptable.
