Binge watching Strat..
« on: Thu, 23 July 2020, 20:03:34 »
Have you guys noticed, it's hard to push past ~25 episodes of the same show without some burn-out fatigue ?

How do y'all keep stamina , maybe switch to a diff show?

In a row? That's a lot. When I binge it's maybe 4-5 episodes, or just keeping it on in the background while I work in which case I'm not really paying attention anyway.

Not in a straight sitting,  but even across a week or 2, it gets kind of stressful watching the same show.

Oh I see. I get addicted and withdraws when going through a series so I have times throughout the day when I need my 'hit' to watch an episode.

Recently went through The Office again and it seems the developed pattern is 1 episode during lunch, 2 with dinner, then 2 more right before bed. Maybe a couple more in there if it's a particularly uneventful day, so generally 5-7 episodes a day. A couple times I just didn't feel like watching anymore, but generally those were bad episodes paired with them being in the final season so burnout may have been a contributing factor at that point.

Doing the same thing now with Seinfeld and Dragon Ball Super, but as you suggested I'm switching between shows each episode. It does help, especially with Dragon Ball which can get tedious at times.

I usually switch between YT and Netflix, with some music in between. Works quite well. There are times in which I can finish Two or so seasons of a show with about 20 - 20 episodes each.

Oh I see, if you are talking of a timespan of 1-2 Weeks, I remember I watched all of Star Trek Enterprise not too long ago in about 1-2 Weeks. That’s 4 Seasons with about 25 Ep. each of around 45min. But without doing anything else like YT in-between that would not be doable. Also that was doing the corona lockdown, so lots of free time...
