Has your posture gotten worse this year?
« on: Thu, 31 December 2020, 20:05:25 »
I've noticed being at the comp and not going out has severely impacted my posture without my realizing it until I caught a glimpse of me quickly shambling by a reflective building like I'm a t-rex chasing a rat. Horrifying to think I'd been walking around like that, and the entire rest of the day I had to make concentrated effort not to rubber band back into a walking half-fetal position.

God damn I have become disgusting

My shoulder posture is already crap from sitting at a computer, so it's not any worse this year. I don't hunch over, but I do have to hold my shoulders back actively and also straighten my lower back (I have lumbar lordosis) in order not to look like a weirdo. But, no, I wouldn't say it's any worse than it was before.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

Having done near enough exactly this a few days ago I feel attacked (I hadn't slept in a day but wanted to play muh games without my neck feeling like a ten ton weight ok)

Adjustable standing desk, monitor arms and an ergonomic chair help me maintain good posture.

Yes, not just because I've been at a desk for most of it, but I haven't been able to go to the gym. I went from being [chad meme] to [virgin meme].

Don't think it's gotten worse; more like, I am beginning to suffer the consequences of my already bad posture by having to sit at my desk for more time now.

My posture is approaching the golden ratio as well,

But yes.. my posture is worse after the previous year. I have been working at home since March last year. I have a good setup, but not a standing desk. I have been thinking of getting one, but I think I will not at this point.
My biggest problem with sitting down is not the shoulders and upper body, but the legs and the hip. I get very stiff hips when sitting down all day.. this leads to pelvic tilt over time I think.
