Well... the filmography is decent, and it's better than the old ones for sure. 

But MKombat's core plot, it may be impossible to make a good movie based on it.

funny how the plot in the games are better and more cohesive than a damn film. MK9, Injustice, and X all had great stories that were well integrated into the game. They are overthinking it, it is so easy. It's like making an Aliens movie and devoting a quarter of the film to the alien's childhood memories. No one cares.

Never liked the franchise. It's whole reason for being was core for chock factor, which was something that was popular in the '90s when it launched.

It's actually just a very solid fighter, 2 9 and X are simply great well-balanced games that would be equally successful without the gore. The franchise may have not gotten a second game if not for the gore, but in any fighting game circle it is a respected one.

Only drawback is the fighting game crowd has too much overlap with the non-showering weeb crowd. I actually played JWong once, he clearly doesn't shower, my buddy who's semi pro hustled jwong for $100 MVC3.
