Major explosion of online hysteria (in China) as Prince of Piano Yundi Li (age39) was allegedly detained by police over soliciting a (pr0st******) age29, surname Chen.

/Confirmed, it was him.

Yundi Li is the youngest pianist (age 18), to win the 14th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2000 (THE Most prestigious in pianism), and he was on the competition's judging panel in 2015.

This news come as the 18th ICC recently came to a close with Canadian, Bruce Liu hailed as Champion, playing a Fazioli Concert Grand.

After all those years of one child and vigorous selection of male children, there would seem to be a huge surplus of young(-ish) men in China.

The law of supply and demand would indicate that that would create a huge demand for female prostitution, and it makes no sense that the police would attempt to get in the way of a "force of nature".

This is the girl (allegedly). Her rate is ~10k Yuan/session ($1566USD). Not expensive, not cheap.

Apparently this is not Yundi's first time engaging her services.

From what I understand it is extremely easy to find a prostitute in HK and Shanghai and government officials are their #1 customers. Seems just a little hypocritical.

Also if you have to pay $1500 to have sex you are a loser, sorry. Rich and good looking falls by the wayside the second you debase yourself paying for sex.

NT, there are many reasons why ALL SORTS of people buy and sell.

Please do not presume there is a clear cut moral high ground.   Most people in the business are generally good people, they're just playing the hand they were dealt.
