Where's the Line
« on: Mon, 13 December 2021, 17:17:55 »
Between,  Spicy and Masochism ?

Tp4 just made some hot/sour soup,  only the pepper was deceptive and the soup is too spicy to eat.

How much spicy can y'all handle ?

Yea, if it causes that dry feeling at the bottom of the neck, you know hiccups are coming.

Yesterday my cousin gave me a pint of hot and sour soup leftover from a catered event. She thinks that it is the best hot and sour soup in town.

Tonight I heated it up, and it was very good, but it was hardly hot or sour. However, with a couple of tablespoons of cider vinegar and about 3-4 shakes of hot sauce it was just about right.

"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

They should release some sort of "spiciness" calibration tool that you dip into soups/liquids to check it with PRECISION.

I know its hot when my nose is runny and tears come out. Then next day is second hit and I wish I could sit on ice...

Spiciest thing I use are scotch bonnet peppers (up to 350k), but I cut it up for soups etc, not having it as a whole.

Used to eat chili paste with absolutely everything, could handle quite a bit. Nowadays stomach gets massively upset at spicy and starts producing acid until I'm more or less literally flowing over.
