Living in the woodz
« on: Thu, 24 April 2025, 08:13:48 »
Tp4 had always thought, one o' them houses near or in a forest, w/ nature be pretty gud'

But with wildfires,  it be like, oh Tp4, that's how you roast yourself in the middle of the night. Because you overloaded the local circuit with your too many stupid electronics.

Thoughts?  Forest backdrop still gud' idea nowadays?

Ensure that the materials are not combustible and that there is a decent clear space all around.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

The x-factor here is ,  1 dumb guy, who likes to go outside, and start fires,  Wham,  10s of thousands of acre forest fire.

How many dumb guys are out there,  starting fires,   getting drunk,   then forget/ neglect to properly put out the campsite.

What stopped this,  healthy ecosystems,   self balanced,  wet and moist,   healthy society,  education,

What we no longer have.

I always wanted a self-sustaining home on a mountain surrounded by forest, where my closest neighbor is 25 miles away.

Tp4 is thinking about joining a Commune.  But most of them seem pretty cult-ish.

Unfortunately, there's also no PC gaming themed commune.

The morning bird noise have returned in very small numbers.

The noise is significantly reduced from even just 1 year ago.

Tp4 cautiously optimistic.
