Mini PC - ROG NUC (2025) Intel Core Ultra 9 GeForce RTX 5070 Ti

I'm pondering of swapping my PC for mini PC format.
As I need 4K gaming, I looked at ROG NUC (2025) Intel Core Ultra 9 GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Mini PC.
I know it has laptop gpu and cpu, but it doesnt worry me, as I game a lot less than in the past (play game maybe twice a month now ).
CPU wise its more than enough for me, GPU is practically the same what I have now, plus it has TB4, which I like to have when I'm playing around with my camera or my extranel SSDs and HDDs.
It has 3 years warranty, so I think I would keep it for at least 3-4 years before getting a new one - similar to how oftern I change GPU in regular PC.

What I have now is mITX build - i3, 9070 XT Pulse, 32GB RAM in mITX case.
If I sell everything, I should have alsmot enough money to buy that mini PC, maybe add a £100.

Does anyone use one of those mini PC that have gaming power?

The Cpu will be power limited, and can't spray-frames if it ever needs to do it.

45w watt cpu also might only do 30watts when the GPU is cranked.  And 45watt cpu will feel NOTHING like a 150-200watt cpu, even if the specs match.  They are not remotely comparable.

The GPU is probably also power gated, probably 20-25% less oomph vs un-censored.

You can buy a thunderbolt card if you really need it.  If it's itx board, they make ones that go in the extra pcie ssd slot.

I hope one day we will have small PCs, like 10x10cm box, with 10x more power than todays PCs... I hope I will not be dead by then...

I will probably move my guts to Fractal Design Ridge, I like that slim case. But yeah, would like to have TB4 at least.
I was wondering recently if there is any adapter that can be mounted in M.2 slot - so there is one?

This **** is not going to end. I read some predictions yesterday that we may have another 10 years of chip deficit, it could meant hat prices for RAM and any electronic device will keep raising. I cannot believe that people let this to happen - all *******s raising demand for AI, creating stupid videos on internet pushed companies to produce and supply more AI hardware, taking over all RAM and storage supply for years to come. How the f... they let it happen?
Seriously, I'm 46yo and so disappointed in humanity, its unbelievable. And I had so many dreams when was a little boy who discovered computers, believed so hard in technology...

The empire is thinking right now, we're going to plunge ur00p into severe poverty, then fully militarize, then boots-on-the-ground.

This won't work, because there is no longer any latency. Anyone who you'd "eventually" attack will see it coming a million miles away.

If your build up is going to take 20 years,  they're going to wait 6 months, then wipe it out.

If you see the recent RVS published news, they presented photographs of a big list of warehouses and production centers IN NATO allied countries, ur0000p.

And they EXPLICITLY SAY,  not an idle threat,  that hey,  we're going to  Re shnix these places.


There's no hiding it.  You can't hide anything anymore. 


The economics won't support it,  i1rnnnt was able to do what they did over 40 years. WITH lots of help with underground boring technology. 

That technology is not economically feasible to COPY in the west. Labor + MegaSteel casting.


So,  it simply can't happen,  Empire is lost.
