Ducky Year of the Dragon!

Does anybody have any information on this?? Imsto has a picture of this keyboard on his taobao website, but there isn't any additional information for this keyboard anywhere else. Can anyone shed some light on this?? We all know this keyboard is coming.. its inevitable.

Thanks, you too.

I hope they make a nice jade colored one, that could be pretty sweet.

Yeah, that would be pretty awesome. I'll have to keep an eye out.
It'd have to be great looking to make me buy another Ducky, though.
Thats not to say that they're bad, its just I wanted my next keyboard to be a Topre or Model M13.
Current collection:
Filco Majestouch 104-Key, w/ MX Browns

Leopold FC200R, "white" w/ MX Clears

Cherry G80-3494(LCYUS-2), w/ MX Reds for Portal Mod

Not mine, but I\'ve got access to:
Filco Majestouch Linear R Limited Edition, w/ MX Reds
Filco Majestouch 2 \'Ninja\' Tenkeyless, w/ MX Blues

Just some irrelevant fix.
The one you wrote is Cantonese.
The correct one in Mandarin should be "Gong Xi Fa Cai"

I was actually watching Lethal Weapon 4 last night as I was going to sleep, and one of the last lines I heard was, "In Hong Kong, you'd already be dead."

Ducky did confirm that there was a keyboard, and that they have a working prototype, and they said they were on the next step of the production process, but no information about the specifications of the keyboard were given.

I just spoke with Attarian who has the website: http://ohmykb.com/ and he told me that the ducky year of the dragon is going to be a backlit keyboard and should be released in may-june.

That is all.

won't matter what they make the keys out of, if it isn't double shot, it'll wear off eventually.. and you WONT" be able to find replacements, since its a limited edition board to begin with .

backlit is fail,, always.

^Man this guy is spewing cold hard facts up in here I hope my teachers will let me use him as a source; I don't know how you conclude from non ds = backlit fail. Don't like gay marriage? Don't get gay married....same concept. But I know that site does ship to US it just costs around 20 bucks. But I am not sure about ww I would assume that it ships to EU being in France and all but AU is questionable.

I don't know where I read this, so considering it hearsay. I read that Dragon Year edition would feature an entirely new case. Not sure what this means. Could it finally be a 9000 series tenkeyless?

That flashy mode would be pretty neat with some translucent caps, so that you get circles of light around your fingers wherever you press.

Same thought.
But you can see some light around the keycap.
Then all type of backlit is pretty useless, who buy a mech board yet can't touch type anyways.

Haven't tried Ducky's keyboard for such a long time since I sold my Ducky 108 black switch. It's really not as good as Filco's. Maybe I should try them again since they've made many changes on their keyboards.

so we don't have many options for a PBT key if so, maybe thin white PBT that's been coated/painted and then lasered?  does PBT really matter at  that point if it's going to be coated?  it's doubtful they're going to do the DECK style key, and even less likely to do something else using dyesub.  very curious to see what they deliver.

Call me a pessimist then. Look at the markup of Shining vs regular ABS version, and add the bunny edition price. I don't think it is PBT.

It took all my might to restrain myself from making a joke about the price of bunny year edition.

This one is going to be backlit, so making the keycaps PBT is going to be difficult so I think the chances of them being PBT are pretty slim. But on the other hand, the Rabbit AND the Tiger edition were both PBTs, hopefully they don't have a ccccombo breaker.

They already do this with their ABS (white key black coating) so this seems the likely path if they are PBT.
