My first proper keyboard
« on: Mon, 19 March 2012, 19:00:06 »
Also my first post, although I've been lurking here for a while always finding something interesting/amusing.

Anyways i decided on the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid (with blues) because lots of people were saying it was
a decent quality board (and I'm cheap).

I love it, it's so nice to type/game on. I've only used rubber domes
up until now and buying a mech was the best decision ever.

Whats the most money you think you will ever spend on a single keycap?

Just wanna record this so you can look back on it later and laugh

Congrats on your keyboard :)

Do you find the Quickfire's blues too loud for gaming? I might consider buying one of these.

They don't really bother me at all, they're noticeable, but not too loud, that being said I have a lot of background noise
(but my stereo makes short work of that :D)

Australians need number pads!  We should fund a drive to send number pads to Australia.

Welcome to GeekHack. The CM Storm is a quality board, even with all that branding. Very awesome features bundled into a $65-$75 board. I wouldn't consider it cheap, rather an economically mechanical board. Enjoy those blues!

I only have the 3 keyboards stated in my signature, I don't have an issue with numbers... though that being said
