I never expected the thing to last for a long time, really...but I did hope that at $43, which is pretty expensive for me, it would last longer than a $10 rubber dome keyboard, which it didn't.
Anyhow, the thing's in pieces now, probably permanently (I'm pretty good at taking things apart. Less so at taking them apart in a way that is reversible). Staring at the bits of it hasn't yielded any insight into why it stopped working properly, though if it was the sort of problem that required soldering and/or a steady hand to fix, I'd be out of luck anyway. Dunno what, if anything, to buy next by way of mechanical keyboards...the Ducky was a lot better, for both typing and gaming, than a rubber dome, and going back to one has been rather unpleasant, but then again, to be financially viable versus domes, a mechanical at anything other than the very bottom of the bottom price tier would have to be good for a trouble-free service of many, many years, even decades-- longer, at any rate, than I can recall any electronic device of any kind, simple or complex, lasting in my presence.
