Good eye byker. Yes, that is a completely unused, OG Skidata keyboard, along with the till/cashier display that was originally sold together. :P
Also a few Cherry keyboards, a notable one being G81-3000 WKL in black.

Not sure if I'm more excited for the Nixies or the OG Skidata!

Will be taking some photos later on. :)

I'm not typically a fan of tkl or colored keys, but I must say that board looks NICE.  Is it as great to type on as it looks?

For those that wanted a video earlier. This video also shows why using a mat with a typewriter is a must, as thing sucker slid half way across my desk with just a few lines =O

Love these KWK blanks

Damn...

Not today, but I recently got this super awesome package from LivingSpeedBump consisting of one of my freakin DREAM BROS!!! Ugh. I still can't even believe it. a GIF will definitely be coming soon!

He also sent me some other amazing treasures including good tunes - Tom Waits | Orphans and a band that's new to me - The Dead Tongues (which is great!) as well as some Katzenkinder caps, GMK QMX clips, a Sadster on a ZEALIO switch tester keychain, and a beautiful poem by the man himself! The poem was lovely and was written on a typewriter! I had to take a close up of it because I loved the way some of the letters punctured the paper and let light through. I had to frame it and add it to my wall of art things! <3

RIP keyboards and fountain pens. I too want to push a typewriter around my desk and type with two fingers. I just want to slide that little head all the way to the left when I'm done with a line. It seems so authoritative.

Typewriter, yes.  Selectric, possibly.  The typewriter I have with me now is not very sexy (though it is super functional) so that would explain it.  I think I showed it to you at some point.  :D

I'm thinking it's because a lot of people type with 2 or 4 fingers instead of using all their fingers correctly, so variable weight would feel weird.

it would also feel uneven for gaming too, I would imagine

Have any OTD keycap sets been made in the last year (or since the last crap bags went out)? I've got some of those caps somewhere from old buys.

Its no secret I love my 55g Topre, but i was very, very impressed by the variable when I had one. Absolutely thought I would hate it, and did not at all. It was a very comfortable board for extended typing sessions and really excelled there. It honestly didn't feel too odd for gaming either.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Ah I see.  Oh well.

And good luck with your exams :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. White HHKB with black keys (silenced).

Winter scarf since I'll be traveling next month.

And finally, a decent USB headset so I can FINALLY use voice comms when gaming.

Got a couple of posters.

The delivery guy handed me the package bent. They were posters. It said do not bend on them :( There was definite bending.
It does however seemed that the bending at the door was  not too bad. It's sad that they came all that way only to fail at the last hurdle.

Well I was making them to hopefully accompany the prints by hydrospell. But I'm not quite sure if these are of comparable quality yet. I'm also not quite sure of the best way to get these to people without them getting bent. These are A3 as well if you can't tell from the photo.

Its no secret I love my 55g Topre, but i was very, very impressed by the variable when I had one. Absolutely thought I would hate it, and did not at all. It was a very comfortable board for extended typing sessions and really excelled there. It honestly didn't feel too odd for gaming either.

It was pretty much the same for me. I loved my 45g && 55g boards and picked up the variable weight with the sole intention of harvesting the silenced sliders for my 45g but after using it I fell in love and haven't been able to gut it. I'm actually typing on it right now  :))

I was very excited today. After getting my posters and being semi-disappointed I was patiently awaiting a brobot. This is all thanks to Joey Quinn, I very much appreciate it.
You can just about tell it's a brobot from the photo.

That's ****ing hot. My art goals for GH is to have four posters all next to each other: Alps, Topper, BS, MX. Looks like we're 50% of the way there so far :D

Yay, just got my gummy cat! It's transparent with red and green inlay, and kinda hard to take a picture of it.  :)
