Just caught the theatrical showing of Princess Mononoke last night with a friend. It's even better on a big screen.
Oops, missed out on that despite seeing the advertisement for it. I have a decent projector setup though so I guess I could console myself with that.
Yee, anime is always good in a home theater setup. Just felt neat to be able to go with a buddy to the movies and see an anime classic. I think Rebellion was the last anime movie I caught in theaters.

I gave up on projection because of the struggle with light pollution..
So I noticed that if you want the best image on screen, you need to remove all other sources of light, and have dark surfaces..
So Then I painted a room in my basement black, ceiling, floor, wall..
Now, I have no light pollution, the image looks good.. but then I realized, that whenever the scene transitioned from dark to light, my eyes hurt because of the contrast..
So I have to put SOME lights SOME where to keep my iris open enough, such that the dark scene and light scene don't cause eye strain..
now We've come full circle,.. I go remove the lights, but Now I still need more god damn lights..
Eventually, gave up.. went back to the TV.. hahahahhahaha
