Changing the FN and Windows key for a CM QF Rapid
« on: Wed, 05 September 2012, 11:27:10 »
Good day everyone:

I know the CM QF Rapid is a nice board, but as most of us would agree, changing out the key caps is one of the 1st things you should do when you get it. However, the Win keys and FN key on the bottom row look to be 1x1 key caps. If I use any replacement set of, let's say, blank PBT key caps, it's going to come w/ 1x1.25 keycaps for the keys around the space bar, and it's going to have 'just enough' row1 1x1 keycaps for the board. So what would I be able to do to replace the Win keys and FN key on the CM QF Rapid? Any ideas?

bwahahahaha. n00b mistake.

Well I'm a n00b but I should've known better about this. I thought it was the QF Rapid b/c newegg had a deal the other day where you could get the qf rapid w/ red cherry mx for 59.99 after mail in rebate. I missed out on that so I searched cooler master qf on newegg today and saw cm quickfire red cherry mx 59.99 after mail in rebate. I just overlooked that this was not the quickfire rapid. I'm an idiot. I mean, the rapid doesn't have a numpad.  :-[

The rosewill goes for $64 on sale, and the rapid usually $50 on sale. I have a feeling those deals are coming back this black friday for sure. Or even sooner.

I'm interested in getting a backlit tenkeyless for my next keyboard as I currently own two full non-backlit decks (and I know the QF Rapid is not really backlit). I'm interested in the KBT Pure. I've heard that the Pure is unique, but does that mean just the layout or the stabilizers as well. Do you know what kind of stabliizers the KBT Pure uses?
