Does a keyboard with a usb 2.0 hub give you true usb 2.0?
« on: Fri, 12 October 2012, 13:32:25 »
Title says it all...

for instance, gonna transfer my girlfriend's pictures from my camera using the usb2.0 port available with the TT MEKA G1 . Does the transfer rate will be the same as the original USB hub @ pc?

I believe so. Because it's using an extra usb cable for the port.
All those keyboards will be lost in time....

But not all keyboards with USB a hub will work well if connected to a USB hub themselve.
This is why I prefer boards without builtin hub.

Some keyboards have hubs. Others have hub + passthrough for the USB 2.0. Passthrough means that it is just a cable that is wired through the keyboard.

Some, e.g. the Das Keyboard, provide power while others, e.g. the Matias quiet pro, provide an interface but will not charge a device.

Depends.  You have to read the specifications of the keyboard.  What is a Happy Hacking Keyboard?
