Quote
Red Bull Stratos is a mission to the edge of space that will try to surpass human limits that have existed for more than 50 years. Supported by a team of experts, Felix Baumgartner will undertake a stratospheric balloon flight to more than 120,000 feet / 36,576 meters and make a record-breaking freefall jump in the attempt to become the first man to break the speed of sound in freefall (an estimated 690 miles / 1,110 kilometers per hour), while delivering valuable data for medical and scientific advancement.

I went up to 125,000ft, jumped into a freefall at 700mph+, landed.

No big deal

Coolest of the cool.
Plus Kittinger was there.
Plus Yeager did a sonic boom anniversary flight at Edwards 65 years to the minute of being the first man to break the barrier.

Kittinger on August 16, 1960

Very, very, very, cool to have all these elements together.

Yeah, ok, so he broke the sound barrier.

SO WHAT ARE WE GONG TO DO WITH A BROKEN SOUND BARRIER!??!!11!

And WHO is going to pay to fix it???//
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I can't help but feel the only reason he broke the sound barrier was because of his brass balls...[/ignoring_science]
