Devil May Cry 5
« on: Sun, 27 January 2013, 00:25:09 »
I can't believe I actually finished this game. It's that good...  :))

Normally I just watch a Youtube video of someone else playing, yes,  I'M THAT LAZY :p :p

Ever wonder where you're gonna need that 6KRO, or even Full NKRO,, THIS game needs at least 5KRO, which is quite alot...

Finally a chance to "really" use rollover...  :D :D

Surprisingly the Camera DOESN'T suck.. You can keep up with all the action very well...   They did rig it so that the enemies you're not looking at are "much less active" than the enemies in front of you...

This game is really awesome... I thought it was rubbish on my friend's XBOX, low frame rate n' all; however, it plays wonderfully on PC, 60 frames per second, no more dropped combos..

On PC, the animation is very smooth, fluid, dynamic, and extremely well choreographed.

60fps is VERY important for this type of game...

On XBOX I'd drop combos all the time.. and big battles looked like slideshows..

Storyline:

What did you expect... It's honestly good enough to carry.. the whole point is basically... "you're the main character", You're super awesome, and unstoppable...  ^-^
 rage... rage... rage... rage.... ending...

If you guys pick this up, Don't be alarmed at the first female you see in the game, she looks absolutely disgusting, but that's how it's suppose to be because she's the "mistress" of the "devil/demon king"

I'm only slightly angry that there doesn't seem to be an unlockable character...

Just started playing it yesterday, but games like this seem to be way to complicated with a keyboard/mouse so I use my wired xbox controller and it works perfectly.

Seriously?   I'm not hearing this.... la la la la la... keyboard ftw.... ;D

Advice though, you should bind forward and back buttons on the mouse for modifiers instead of using Q and E, because that way, you can DI (directional influence) with changing fingers.

I can't use a controller myself, because i hate putting my hands so close together, it squeezes my chest and cramps my shoulders.

Playing it on highest difficulty now... Man, I need a new graphics card... because when there's too many enemies, I still get some frame dips...

And if I get frame dips, Combos will be dropped, and if you falll into a crowd of enemies, you're pretty screwed....

The only way to beat it on this difficulty, seems to be abusing the air juggle... because that's the only way you don't get mobbed to death...

There's just no time to charge up the new "aquila" shuriken thing for enemy interupts, they have so much health,, that even if you take one of them out for 4 seconds, you can't kill the juggled enemy before they drop... UGh....

THis is so frustratingly fun... but very frustrating...
