CM QFR Media keys issue
« on: Sat, 16 February 2013, 16:43:28 »
The media/volume keys on my qfr seem to only work when they feel like it. It has no correlation to what applications i have open, but right now they wont work at all. yesterday they were fine. this happens all the time. they choose whether or not they want to work.

does anyone know why this would happen. plugged in through ps/2 and my computer is  running windows 7

I'd get an RMA. The only cause I can think of is the Fn switch or traces being hosed. I'm using them extensively in 7 Ultimate with PS/2, no issues. Just in case, you did remember to double check which audio device is set active, right? What about the PP, Stop, Prev and Next keys? Win Lock?
I mean really other than that, it's literally nothing more than a standard set 2 scancode being sent.

easiest would be testing it on another pc to see if it is the keyboard or not.

also did you get the QFR after the left alt problems? maybe it has the bad solder at the fn key instead.

I contacted CM and i'm waiting to hear from them.

i don't know anything about the "left alt problem" issue. it's one of the green switch models if that helps.
